Comfy, sporty, cool, these sneaks are no longer just for gym rats

The hottest trend seen on the runways of Milan’s Fashion Week, was men in bright sneakers. We’ve been seeing sportswear mixed with formal looks for a while, but with the introduction of neon colors into men’s shoes in the last couple of years it seems like a comfortable next step.

There are some rules though: The pants must be tapered and preferably cuffed. Skip the socks or make an intentional effort by adding a funky pattern. Most importantly, make sure the rest of the look is clean. This look is deliberate ­— not the result of grabbing your gym bag instead of your briefcase. —me
