“My Work Involves a Process of Exploring the Geometry of

the natural and man-made environments surrounding me. By photographing these micro landscapes using Hipstamatic in a modular way, I deconstruct and then redefine these forms,

Creating Something New.”

Photographer Lisa Berley caught our eye with her interesting approach to of blending digital and physical prints. Her work can be seen at gallery exhibitions around London. Below she gives us a glimpse into her process.

the process: Using exclusively Hipstamatic, I shoot a series of high resolution photos of an object or place, upload to my iMac, do a layout of the constructed image in Pages as a schematic, then I upload all of the shots from the layout (anywhere from 9 to 96 shots) to the Hipstamatic website for printing of 4” prints. After receiving the prints, I make a layout using the hard copy prints. If it’s a ‘go,’ I order the larger size 7” or 10” prints and then they are framed for gallery exhibition. The work you see on the website is the only digital form of these constructs — the final output are your beautiful prints. —lb
