From Chicago to Italy to Austin, Jodi Rae is pulling inspiration from her surroundings and photographic background

The feeling of creating something gorgeous and unique that can become an intimate part of a person’s day-to-day life, that can be a part of their personal expression, is why I create. I love fabricating in sterling silver, and rare and beautiful fossils, minerals, and gemstones. The hunt for amazing, high quality, rare, and sometimes slightly odd stones that grab me is exhilarating. I let them speak to me in the process of creating a piece. I love playing with contrasting elements, and looking for unique ways to create details that will enhance a stone and a wearable piece of jewelry. Compostition in the stones, balance, and proportion are integral to my jewels, as are details and simplicity.

Making a piece of truly unique jewelry that someone will feel amazing wearing and that will make them feel special and confident drives me to continue.
