A design project by Faris Du Graf

Influenced by city life and growing up in Seattle in the nineties, Faris began her jewelry line out of the curiosity to create. She learned to appreciate design from a young age through her family’s furniture business; Alvar Aalto and Mies van der Rohe were household names.

Obsessed by process and materials, each piece is handcrafted in her Oakland studio with anvils and torches. Materials are thoughtfully selected — some collected on travels, others locally sourced and reclaimed.

F A R I S is both streetwise and architectural, reflecting an intuitive modernist sensibility and an appreciation for the balance and beauty found in juxtaposed forms and elements. —fdg
