Lost in London

Urban Hot Spots & Underground Treasures

One of the best ways to explore A CITY is to get lost. To just start walking because you never know what you’ll stumble upon, or how quickly you’ll start doing circles around yourself. In a city like London, full of culture and incredible architecture, this is how I spent some of my most enjoyable moments. One of the first places I “found” myself at (on my walk away from the Tate Modern towards the Shakesphere’s Globe Theater) was the Borough Market where I enjoyed

some of the most amazing emapanadas, samplings of paella and cured meats. All while sipping on some deliciously festive warm mulled wine.

Suddenly I wanted to see more of what the city’s markets had to offer, and so I was off the next morning to East London to check out the Broadway Market. A weekend set-up with folk singers, craft makers and vintage curations. I enjoyed a bit of traditional fish and chips before being enticed by a pork belly steamed bun. I was so impressed with the food and the music and the pints on the streets that I had a hard time boarding the plane back to New York. I realized I had spent most of my trip lost in direction, but found myself very much at home.
