Los Cabos, Mexico

By now you must be aware that Baja California is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Its location makes it not only stunning but the weather is incredible! Picture this: Morning runs on the beach, Desert rides on 4-wheelers that take you over suspended bridges, days spent on chartered yachts while whales play next to you. Dining al fresco in the evening (with no bugs) while the waves crash on the shore. This is what makes any given day special in Los Cabos but the location is also home to one of the most special festival - Los Cabos International Film Festival.
Every November actors and theater buffs alike descend to this magical location to see the films of the year and experience a place in Mexico that’s unlike anywhere else. Make sure to add this event to your calendar as this is not something to be missed!
Arriving in Los Cabos Most hotels will provide transportation from the airport but if you’re organizing this on your own, schedule a car - passing customs is a bit intense with time share and activity vendors approaching you as you walk out. Organizing a car will make this experience less stressful. Once you exit there is a little outdoor bar to solidify that feeling that you are officially on vacation.
I’ve been hosted by the Grand Solmar Resort and Spa a number of times and they are incredible with in-pool meals and spacious rooms overlooking the water. If your budget allows for the finer things, definitely check out One and Only Palmilla for an out of this world luxury experience and the finest dining in all of Baja California.
Where To Eat If you are only to have one meal while in Cabo, make it Agua by Larbi and sit at Larbi’s Table where a giant, custom lazy susan table sits cliffside. Family style dining takes on a whole new experience when the menu consists of chilled Chocolata Clams, Ceviches done 3 ways, fresh oyesters spin past you and you realize you’re only on the first course.
Where to Adventure Wild Canyon Adventures took my breath away... literally. A fast, fun drive on ATV Offroad Runners along dessert paths that spit you out onto the beach. The ride continues over the canyon on what might be the longest suspension bridge I’ve ever seen– your heart beats with every board you cross! Zipplining through the canyon is also available if that’s more your speed.
