Soul Clam Fall special ingredients

Preparing The Roasted Peeled Beets: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Wash beets thoroughly. Dry beets and toss in oil and vinegar until well coated.

Place beets in one single layer on the sheet tray, making sure that the beets are the same size in order to insure even cooking. Cover beets with aluminium foil making a tight seal and place beets in oven and allow to cook for 3 hours. Once done steaming take the beets out and peel beets with a towel and cut into cubes. Make sure to wear gloves not only to prevent the beets from staining your hands.

Cooking The Roasted Peeled Beets: Pour cornstarch into bowl and toss 1pt of beets, until well coated then drain excess through a sieve.

Place beets into fryer basket and drop into a fryer at 375 ºF (190ºC). Cook beets until crispy and piping hot. Once beets are finished, remove from oil, shake off excess and pour beets into clean metal bowl.

Season beets with 1/4tsp of salt and place beets into bowl. Once beets are stacked nicely in serving dish, squeeze 1 tbsp of kewpie into the boat to act as a side.

Sprinkle 1/4tbsp of togarashi over the kewpie. To finish sprinkle a 1/2tsp of sliced green onion over the beets and your dish is ready to eat.
