The Dream of the 90’S Is Alive...everywhere

Is it me, or did Contempo Casual just throw up on the entirety of society?

You don’t have to look far to see the 90’s are back in full force. Just walk into H&M, and you’ll wonder if you accidentally sauntered into your middle school go-to stores: Contempo and Rampage. When I see people walking around in combat boots, chokers and platform shoes, I can’t help but daydream of the time when I watched My So Called Life and Reality Bites incessently, and snuck Zima from my parents’ garage fridge with my besties (tip-toeing in our Doc Martens, of course, trying not to make any noise).

But there are certainly some 90‘s trends that I would rather never see resurrected (scrunchies, obnoxious tie-dye, “The Rachel” haircut). So, if you’re planning to relive the 90’s, keep it chic, kids. —ms
