Identity Crisis

Am I wearing a suit, or am I wearing shorts? Some things are better left on the runway.

Listen, kids: there is a time to dress up, as well as a time to be perfectly comfortable in casual attire. The short suit walks a line so fine between casual and dressy, I’m left wondering, “WTF?!”

Just when is it ok to rock this cropped look? Clothes represent a statement, and I’m not sure what this outfit is trying to scream. Are the shorts saying “It’s too hot to wear pants” or is the jacket saying “This meeting/date is only semi important, so screw the pants. Where are my shorts?!”

Some have said to me “Don’t be silly, Mario, the suit is meant for outdoor use only—like for a casual wedding.” But we all know that once H&M is selling it, people throw fashion rules out the window.

The real problem is that some people can pull it off—and by people I mean mannequins, which is why the stores put them on display. For the sake of my friends, I’m forced to have an opinion: Don’t be a trend whore, some things look better in the store.—ME SLASH
