Abstract Beauty

To get started, set Hipstamatic to the Bettie XL lens and Ina’s 1969 film. Next, lay your phone on the table, camera lens down (your viewfinder screen should be all black now). Then, snap a photo with the camera in that position. What you might expect is a completely black photo, but what you end up with is something creative and beautiful—perhaps your first-ever abstract photo, courtesy of Hipstamatic.

I also shoot through bottles of water, soap dispensers and glasses of iced tea—I even let the camera “look” inside a soda can. As you can see, there’s no barrier except your creativity.
