Getting in with Style

Befriend the locals If you want to party like a rockstar at Las Vegas pool parties, you need to befriend the local hosts and promoters. They’re everywhere, especially in the gaming and shopping areas on the strip, so that’s a good place to start. Find the hosts, and find yourself well on your way to a fabulous party.

Get the digits If you meet a casino host—GET HIS NUMBER! Vegas isn’t like other cities, where giving your number to a promoter would probably mean you’re looking for more than free entry to a party (if you catch my drift). However, in Las Vegas, promoters get paid by the number of names they can get on their guest lists, and they get even more for girls. Sorry fellas—I don’t make the rules, I just follow ‘em!

Be A social (media) butterfly Another good way to get invited to pool parties is to connect with hosts and promoters via Twitter and Facebook. Do a search for the club or pool that you’re trying to go to and follow or ‘friend’ the people who work there. Let them know that you have a group of people wanting to come and they’ll usually be happy to hook you up.

Learn how to tip If you’re a group of guys, then tip the promoters and doormen. On average, a good tip is $50 per guy. It sounds like a lot but you’re avoiding waiting over an hour and paying a $30-$40 cover charge.
