Mission from Burma

I love looking at photographs: they give entrée to experiences not my own. Photographs are distillations of memories—nothing takes you back to the essence of the moment better than a photograph.

I love hipstamatic and I’m having a lot of fun with it! Taking photographs with an iPhone is less conspicuous and intrusive compared to cameras, and Hipstamatic makes gorgeous images.

Here are some photos of Myanmar. The country was known as Burma before it came into military rule in 1962. However, recently Myanmar seems to be opening up and moving into the direction of democracy. The Burmese are hoping that this will gain momentum and their lives will get better. Walking in the streets, markets, and taking the local transport are some of the best ways to experience a country. Here’s a series of photographs of photos—I hope you enjoy viewing them.
