Mezcal Minute

At one of Copenhagen’s most esteemed elixir joints, our favorite cocktail artist, Marlene, has a comfortable understanding of cold weather drinks. Since the temperature only hits above 50 degrees three months out of the year, she keeps a variety of heat- inducing drinks under her belt. Her latest creation, based on a smokey mezcal, adds for a familiar campfire flare with a hint of espresso to keep the energy up.

MEZCAL MINUTE

Vida Mezcal
 Orange Bitters
 Sweet Vermouth
Agave Syrup
5 Coffee Beans
Orange Peel

Start by chilling a glass with ice and water. In a separate container, add mezcal with bitters and vermouth. Add the coffee beans, and stir for 30 seconds. Empty the water and ice from the presentation glass, and strain out the concoction. Garnish with a coffee bean and an orange twist. Sip and enjoy.
