“My wife and I were in Paris for the Paris Photo salon. It was Friday night

and we were having dinner with a few journalist friends from the ADP and RFI. At about 21h30 we were warned that there was gunfire–no further details were offered...

The next morning my photojournalist’s instinct drove me outdoors; I needed to see the various sites. I arrived early, so many of the victims’ personal belongings were still lying there, strewn about on the blood soaked sidewalks. The people at the sceen looked worn out and there was an eerie silence.

... I came across [a] scene of a bike pulling a piano along... the pianist was about to play “Imagine” by John Lennon, in front of the Bataclan.”

Imagine there’s no heaven It’s easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today...

Imagine there’s no countries It isn’t hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too
