Words by shawn galanos photos by alon goldsmith It’s FESTIVAL SEASON FOLKS, and you know what that means. More beautiful party people jammed in one place that you can shake a glow stick at. Scantily clad yoga bodies will be coming out in droves to hear all the greatest bands, DJs, and performers and shake what their momma gave ‘em.

The beginning of festival season signifies springtime, when you shed your winter clothing and come out to enjoy the longer day, soak in the sunshine, and start mingling with delightfully sexy people. With all that comes heightened attraction, arousal, and the definite desire to get naked with someone. Here’s your cheat sheet to making the most of your time and getting that sexy body into your tent pronto.

Elevate Your Tent Game

least you’ll sleep like a king or queen.] Assume You Won’t Score Speaking of not getting lucky, don’t assume you will. Go out every time assuming that you’ll come back to your tent palace alone and you’ll never be disappointed. When you play your cards right and do get lucky -you’ll be pleasantly surprised and you can pat yourself on the back. Good job.

Skip The Drunken Bambis It might be tempting to pray on the weak but resist the urge to go after poor wounded bambi and skip people that look intoxicated. Not only are you going after low hanging fruit, but you risk the chance of getting yourself into hot water.

Give Your Ear a Break You might be hot enough to just make the right combination of eye contact, winks, and nods to attract that special someone - but for the rest of us, talking to someone will give you a much better chance to develop a meaningful connection. Spend some time away from the stages and go find something interesting to do. Go hang by the falafel cart and try to make 10 people laugh. Join the silk screening workshop and rustle up a friend or two. Cgo check out the art and talk to random strangers about how you went to middle school with the artist. Be playful and open to all sorts of interactions. [It’ll give you practice and make you easy to talk to.] Be Bold and Make Your Move Once you’ve met someone that seems interested in you and laughs at one of your jokes -- make your move. In festival situations, I pass on assuming that someone is interested in me and go for the bold and direct approach. “Hey, you’re cute, are you single?” If they say no - then move on. No big deal, they’re not the only cute sexy person at the festival. If they reply favorably - make your move “Wanna go check out Beck and make out?”

With these tips, you can’t go wrong. You’ll have a pimp homebase, avoid having to clean puke out of your favorite Snoopy comforter, maintain your status as an upstanding festival goer, meet some interesting people and just maybe, get have some frisky fun in your tent. Good luck.
