Rebuilding Cabo

A celebration of film and culture brought me out to the cities at the end of the world. Lands End as it is known in Mexico, or Los Cabos, celebrated their International Film Festival and their reopening as a beautiful tourist destination after being beaten down by Hurricane Odile. While its clear that the areas of Cabo San Lucas and San José de Cabo are still recovering from one of the worst storms since the destination became the cultural center of Baja California, their progress was absolutely incredible.
The festival celebrated over 100 films and 80 premieres with an #UNSTOPPABLE hashtag to show that the region is back and continuing to improve. Few places can rival the scenery and daytime adventures, so it’s clear that the destination will do incredibly well with the annual International Film Festival. Whether ziplining through the Wild Canyons, riding camels along the beach, out on a fishing escapade, 4 wheeling through the desert or engulfed in a captivating screening, spending time in Baja in the Fall is something to envy.
