The lights come ON AND a sea OF faces light up, mouths open and universally start project a vocal excitement. A sense of unity takes over and as though controlled by the same hand, the wave undulates and rocks back and forth. Up and down. Hands in the air. Sheer excitement. Pure joy. This is what music does.

There are very few things that transcend words like music. And like photography, a universal language can be spoke and stories are told. Fables are passed down and memories are created. This is my fascination with music. This month we take inspiration from those beats that move us, from the colorful landscape of Coachella to the living rooms of Austin, we share our dance-worthy moments through visual storytelling. Jam out to our #playlist while plotting your Jamaican vacation, or mixing up some delicious recipes in the kitchen.

We’ve even carefully curated bands that you should check out for each of the stories in the issue. So mix-up one of our blackberry mojitos and get comfy because there is a lot of music to discover. The Destination Issue is out next, so make sure to start sending us your beautiful travel photos with tips on how to make us better “locals” in any future visits!
