Road Trip

Four days from burney ca to PAHRUMP NV. Burney is in California’s remote northeast. The journey took us through 840 miles and many remote and empty places until we reached Pahrump, a sprawling exurb 60 miles from Las Vegas.

We crossed deserts and mountains; admired trucks and train tracks. We visited the extraordinary Ordnance Museum in Hawthorne, Nevada; a town based around the recycling of military hardware. And stayed in cabins and motels, some quaint, some impersonal. All quintissentially American.
