Our Latest Artist Obsessions

Artists to Watch by Rheanna Martinez + Mario Estrada
Jeremy Novy
--We’re obsessed with stencil street artist, Jeremy Novy - not just for his identifiable coi that randomly pop up swimming around the city streets, but because he explores social and political issues through his art.
He makes abandoned and discarded objects more beautiful, but even more, he aims to bring gay imagery into the homophobic subculture of street artists. He covers hateful and distateful graffiti, encouraging a flourishing gay street artist community that won’t tolerate being bullied.
Denada Design
--Virgina Arrisueno proves that textile and fibers are an exquisite and beautiful art with her emerging accessories line, DeNada Design.
Inspired by her father’s love for travel and her mother’s impeccable style, she created this line of high-quality, contemporary knits with ethnic elements. The fact that she works alongside skilled artisans in Peru, and often posts photos of this incredible handwoven work in action, blows our mind. We’re so madly in love with these knits, we can’t wait to get our hands on more of her pieces.
Kelly Towles
--This dope DC-based artist is known for creating vivid characters armed with masks, boxing gloves, and physical awkwardness. You’ll find his work as giant murals, paintings on uncommon objects, interiors, brand labels, prints, and shirts. He’s also known to work crazy fast and knock out a new project in one attempt - surprising us with new creations. When asked why he creates, Towles said, “for the longest time, I’ve wanted to make a fuckin mess, or just get these images to materialize from ideas to spirits...follow your dreams, only you fuck your dreams up”. Truth.
