Stories Behind Hipstamatic Lenses

She’s our gypsy, hippie goddess. A photographic guru, guiding our storytelling spirits to new heights, and casting a golden glow over all that we capture.

How did you get started IN photography? I first became interested in photography when I was on tour with Jim Morrison and The Doors. I know what you’re thinking — how can this girl be 60 years old?! All I can say is thank our holy goddesses for all the essential oils I put on my face every a night...a total skin saver! Anyway, back to photography: I was mostly documenting tour life, and ya know, underage groupies...not that I was one. But that’s how I got really into it. It was wild, man.

What was the inspiration behind the lens? The Mabel is designed based on my spiritual aura: a bright, gypsy, hippie goddess glow. It also harkens to an unforgettable sunset from my last vacation with John Lennon and Yoko Ono...those were the days.

In terms of aesthetic point of view, what do you enjoy shooting most?

It’s all about love, baby.
