Speak Out. Have an Opinion. Be Heard.

From the Editor Speak Out. Have an Opinion. Be Heard.

we’re an opinionated crew at Snap magazine, so it only made sense for us to have an entire issue dedicated to speaking out about what matters most.

When we talked as a team about what that meant to us, a variety of topics came up including the election, sex-positive education, sexual slavery, and continuing to generate awareness for stories that remain untold.

Then we turned it over to the communty—we wanted to know what you thought was worthy of attention. Some people wanted to share messages of hope and love, others wanted to point out their frustrations with the current political climate and some wanted to elevate the conversation around racial and gender inequality. There were many points of view, but everyone banded together around one, universal idea: speaking out.

Of course, this wouldn’t be Snap if we didn’t give a nod to all of the things we’re loving right now: From 90’s fashion to new music obsessesons to terrariums, we’ve got ya covered, and we hope you learn a new thing or two.

Before I sign off, there is one additional piece of exciting news I’d like to share: We’ve partnered with Rock the Vote on two new films and a virtual camera case, available for free in the Hipstamart through Nov. 6th. 2012. No matter where you fall on party lines, if you’re eligible to vote. please do. If you don’t, you’re truly missing out on another opportunity to speak out.

Keep snappin’ (& keep speaking out!),
