Dazzling Istanbul

Byzantium, Constantinople, Istanbul: three names, a single ancient city. It was my first time in Turkey and one of the main reasons for this trip was obviously the iphoneography scene, and I particularly liked the idea of taking photos solely with Hipstamatic. I knew that Istanbul was amazing, but I was delighted with its power, strength, energy, and especially its spirituality. Istanbul is the gateway to the Middle East and Asia, and it is precisely this wonderful mix of cultures that adds to the richness of the city.

The second day of my stay, I discovered with astonishment that Hipstamatic has just released a new pak, the wmag FreePak. I [usually] prefer to test different combos of films and lenses quietly at home before starting a photo shoot. However, there was no time to test anything here, so I left the hotel and went to the Süleymaniye Mosque. I started taking pictures us-ing the wmag FreePak—I will remember the shock I felt when I discovered the results of those first photos...a beautiful blue tone that brings out the magic of the city.

I stayed another 2 days in Istanbul and wmag FreePak remained the main combination I used.
