Francoise Nielly gives us insight into her expressionist portraits

Thanks to her distinctive style, France-based artist Francoise Nielly has made a name for herself in the international art scene. Replacing a traditional paint brush with a palette knife, Francoise’s work is both beautiful and rugged.

She describes her expressionist paintings as “carnal and sensual,” and when asked about her influences, she looks to graffiti art, her urban environment, and—most of all—color.

“Design or fashion or landscape, whatever...i cannot live without color. It is a form of addiction.”

—Francoise Nielly

In addition to her paintings, Francoise has several upcoming projects in the fashion and design industries. If they’re anything like her art, we can’t wait to see what’s next! —ms
