Hot Shots

Ties that bind was originally created for a Nuit Blanche art exhibit in Toronto, Canada. Featuring model Ashley Perry, the series doesn’t shy away from risqué subjects—the photos are provocative and seductive, emotional and intimate. Photographer Paul Buceta, who’s shot for Playboy, Oxygen, and numerous other mags, also added some edge with his photo technique: while the original shoot was done with an SLR camera, the final prints were created by taking pictures of his monitor with Hipstamatic. The process and subject matter may be controversial, but the results are clearly stunning.
