Oh!shit

As we said goodbye to the Obamas, friends and photographers started sharing these incredible, endearing images of Barack and his family. Snow angels, candid laughs... “He’s one of us.”

the power of photography is so important in how people are remembered. Random images are one thing, but the ability to edit years worth of images into one scrutinized photo story puts a lot of power into the photographer.

And then the unthinkable happened. I didn’t see it coming. how... As in how the actual fuck could we elect a man that has so little regard for people. All people other than himself.

I sat in front of the TV as the results rolled in repeating the words “oh shit!”

I looked for an understanding. Something, maybe someone to blame. Did Jimmy Fallon really have the ability to humanize him by petting his hair or were we just too divided on the opposition. shealah Craighead was named the Chief White House Photographer and her job is so important. Number 45 will now get countless hours of editing through months/years worth of images to create a story that summarizes him. She has the responibility to tell an honest story and not make his antics seem normal. She has a lot of power in how she tells this story and how it is remembered.
