Mating Ritual

Ryan Marshall Lawhon has been going viral on the indie charts for a while. His self-described Post-Genre-Pop comes to life under Mating Ritual and their sound is hard to ignore. There is a true grit to the texture of the debut album, How You Gonna Stop It? and that’s with only half of it being released. The album, which has taken 2 years, several studios and a cruise to record, has the complex layering that only time can develop. At the moment only the first half has been released but knowing that each song is informed by the prior and not with the intent of individual listening, is making me super excited for Volume 2 to drop in April of 2017.
